No wedding ever goes perfect there is always some kind of setback, whether that is the bride or groom arriving at the church or the registry office late, the cake falling and smashing, the flowers not arriving, the best man having to cancel at the last minute or worst of all the wedding crasher!!! Wedding crashers can’t be avoided, they either mess up your ceremony or they attack at the reception either way it certainly does add a bit of uniqueness to you wedding!

Your wedding is going great, you have said your I do’s, the best man goes to get your rings, you place them on each others fingers then all of a sudden someone bursts in and starts proclaiming that you should not be married, of course this person is blind drunk and does not have a clue as to what he or she is saying but the wedding has been spoilt and worst of all they didn’t wait until the reception!

Wedding crashers are all unique, they all have their own special way to ruin some ones special day, they may be someone you know or some complete stranger but the fact of the matter is they still come in and try to ruin the most special day of your life which I think is extremely selfish, rude and disrespectful. Your wedding is supposed to be a marvellous day and not torn apart by some mad person wanting to get a quick high.

The wedding crasher may just be someone playing a silly joke and the bride or the groom at the reception, or indeed may not be someone at the wedding at all, he or she maybe someone that you really depended on to be there and they didn’t come and you were left short. A wedding crasher is not always someone who deliberately messes up your wedding, it is sometimes accidental but in the end it is not reversible!

Your wedding should be one of the best days of your life and enjoyed to the fullest, when it is crashed this cannot happen and all the effort of planning and carrying out of the wedding is somewhat a little disappointing as you tried so hard to have the perfect day and it was still ruined, but when this happens the main thing you have to remember is that you are still getting married and going to spend the rest of your days together, holding each other and sharing these fond and funny moments.

The wedding cake is the first thing your guests notice when they walk into the Reception hall. The cake sets the tone of the wedding as formal or informal. In ancient times weddings took place after the harvest and cakes were considered a symbol of good luck. Wedding cakes gave good luck to the newlyweds, and passing out pieces of cake was a way of sharing that luck with friends and neighbors.

The traditional wedding cake of three or more round stacked layers, is what comes to mind when most people think  “wedding cake” However, your wedding cake can be any shape or style you wish. I have seen all kinds of cakes used for wedding cakes, from multi-tiered heart shaped cakes with several smaller hearts on pedestals attached to the main tower by cascading ribbons, and plastic bridges. It was really beautiful. I also know a couple who met at a hockey game. Their wedding cake was a sheet cake decorated to look like a hockey arena. Obviously it was a very informal wedding, and a second marriage for both. A sheet cake can be decorated with elegance, for an informal wedding. It is your wedding, you can have any kind of cake you want.

Most brides show up for the first meeting with a cake designer/decorator, with an image in her head of the perfect wedding cake, that she may have dreamed about since childhood. The designer will do everything in her power to bring that image into reality. Go to the meeting the approximate number of guests, your color scheme, a sketch however primitive of what you want your cake to look like and possibly a picture from a magazine that is close to what you want the cake to look like. The designer will also want to know what flavor you want the cake and icing to be. They may even have samples for you to taste.

If you want a formal wedding but still want to add a touch of whimsy have fun with the grooms cake. The wedding cake can be as elegant as you want, but have the groom’s cake reflect something about the groom, his hobbies, job etc. Does he like Nascar have a  race car, the options are endless.  If another special family occasion is the same day as your wedding, try to recognize it some way. A friend of mine got married on her father-in-law’s birthday, so she had the top layer of her wedding cake decorated as a birthday cake for him. He was so delighted. All of these kinds of things need to be discussed with the cake designer, well in advance of the big day. You can get wedding cakes at most bakeries, but I’d suggest looking for one whose specialty is wedding cakes. You don’t have to limit yourself to the traditional cake. I knew a bride whose wedding cake consisyed of  hundreds of  filled cupcakes, artfully arranged to resemble the traditional  wedding cake, each of the five layers had a different type of filling. It was amazing!

Although the wearing of mens wedding rings is becoming increasing common today this is a relatively recent change and is still not entirely accepted by many men.

It has been traditional for woman to wear wedding rings almost since history began and there are records of an exchange of rings at wedding ceremonies way back to the times of ancient Egypt. Nevertheless, it was rare for a man to wear a wedding ring following the marriage ceremony until after the Second World War.

Many people have suggested that this was for purely economic reasons and that it is only the relative affluence that many societies now enjoy that has made this practice possible. There is undoubtedly some validity in this argument and it may indeed be a significant reason for men not previously wearing wedding rings, but it is certainly not the only reason.

Wearing a wedding ring mean stating publicly that you are married and, while this has rarely been seen as a problem for women, many men are less than happy to advertise the fact that they are married. This is undoubtedly changing today, but still remains a strong influence for many men, while others simply wear their ring when it suits them and remove it when it does not.

As an interesting aside, men in Greece and Italy are often given "puzzle" wedding rings by their brides. These rings consist of a series of interlocking metal rings that have to be arranged in a set order to form a single ring, which means that the ring cannot be quickly and easily removed or replaced.

For some men the wedding ring is seen as an item of jewelry and wearing a wedding ring is viewed in much the same way as they view wearing a pair of earrings. For many men wearing jewelry is simply something that men do not do and the wedding ring is no exception. Again this is something that is becoming less of a problem over time and, while the wearing of earrings may still be some way off for most men, it is often seen as acceptable for a man to wear a ring, bracelet or a neck chain these days.

In many cases, while a man may not have any particular problem with the idea of wearing a wedding ring, if he has not worn a ring before he may be concerned about whether or not he will feel comfortable with a ring and have questions about whether or not it will feel heavy or will rub. This of course is an easy matter to overcome and all he has to do is buy a cheap ring from his local jewelry store or market and wear if for a while to see.

Of course one genuine problem for many men is their occupation which may exclude them from wearing a ring because of the dangers posed by operating machinery or perhaps for reasons of hygiene. This is course is not something that it confined to the wearing of mens wedding rings and effects women equally.

As time goes by more and more men are adopting the habit of wearing a wedding ring and the signs are that this practice is likely to continue to grow.

Think of a world where infertile, childless couples can go to a medical clinic, purchase cell replacements for malfunctioning cells in the reproductive system and, thus, bear kids; a world where people afflicted with degenerative diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Disease can replace their damaged cells and be cured again; a world where the crippled can get the much-needed cells to revive their spinal chord and walk again.

Those amazing medical and scientific feats are only the tip of the iceberg when the potential of human cloning is concerned. Developed to its extreme, human cloning can make disease and sickness, maybe even physical suffering altogether, a thing of the past.

There are two basic kinds of human cloning and, separately, each offers us a deeper insight as to the vast possibilities of this burgeoning new science. In reproductive cloning, a cloned embryo is implanted in a woman's uterus from where, theoretically, a normal baby develops that is genetically identical to the DNA donor. The second type of cloning, therapeutic cloning aims to provide replacement organs or tissue for people. The cloned embryo contains DNA taken from the transplant patient to ensure that the cloned organs are compatible with the person's immune system.

In the past decade, human cloning has taken great strides. To many, the biggest and most visible accomplishment in this arena was the successful cloning of two mammals: Dolly the Sheep in 1996 and Snuppy the dog in 2005. After six years, Dolly died in 2003 from non-cloning related conditions. Meanwhile, Snuppy, Time magazine's "Invention of the Year" in 2005, is alive and well.

In 2004 and 2005, Korean scientist Hwang Woo Suk, who headed the team that created Snuppy, shocked the science world when he announced that he had successfully cloned human embryos in his laboratory in Seoul. However, it was discovered that Hwang had fabricated evidence to back his scientific research. Following a thorough investigation, through, a panel of scientists pronounced that Snuppy was a legitimate clone and this achievement stands.

The original incarnation of the United States Marine Corps (“USMC”) was born in 1775 during the Continental Congress in a resolution sponsored by John Adams. The USMC fought diligently throughout the American revolution but, after the Treaty of Paris in April 1783, it was dissolved only to be reestablished in 1798.

Following this reestablishment, the USMC was involved in military actions against France and Barbary pirates. During the War of 1812, the USMC participated in many naval operations and fought with Andrew Jackson in New Orleans. After the War of 1812, the USMC spent the next few decades protecting a variety of American interests all over the world.

During World War I, the USMC had over 30,000 members actively serving and fighting. Of those, one-third were either injured or killed in combat. It was during WWI that the 4th Brigade earned the title of “Devil Dogs” because of their heroic and patriotic actions at a number of battle sites.

It was within the two decades prior to World War II that the USMC began to prepare for amphibious battle, which they used with high degrees of success during the war. Notable points of battle include Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After World War II, the USMC participated in post-war occupations of Japan and Northern China.

Although the USMC took part in all of wars, and many smaller skirmishes, after World War II, they weren’t engaged in numbers similar to WWII until Operation Desert Storm. However, the USMC has proven itself to be as effective in small and specialized operations as it is in massive military engagements. As the war on terrorism continues to grow and spread around the world, they are likely to be one of the first lines of defense for America. Together with other specialized squads, America can (and probably plans to) use them in the war against terror.
